Citymesh was founded in May 2006 by 5 young entrepreneurs and has known a continuous growth since its creation. Thanks to shared knowledge and a joint interest in networking and computer technologies, these 5 people decided to start a pilot project in the summer of 2006 in Blankenberge. The aim was to build a city-wide communication network based on the multi-radio WiFi-Meshing technology. The success of this project was the motivation to definitively deploy the network for continuous availability for the whole city and to expand these efforts to other cities, towns and private companies. Today, Citymesh offers more than just city-wide communication networks thanks to continuous innovation.
